Meet Rockiel Eliona Milley:
Rockiel is 12 years old. He joined St. Timothy's School in 2010 as a nursery student. He joined grade one in 2011. His father is a secondary school teacher, teaching in Arusha region.
Rockiel's father bought a solar battery for home use and later he paid for a 3 phase electricity program, planning to have a milling machine and a saw mill. The solar battery was left for a while without any use. It was in 2013, while Rockiel was in grade 3, when he planned to use the solar battery to light his bedroom. He used a few bulbs which were formerly in a flashlight and illuminated his room. His creativity continued growing; in the same year, he took pieces of a box, a cellotape, a short wire, two new dry batteries, and a bulb. He connected them to get a torch (flashlight). In 2016 he came up with a new idea of taking a mortar from the radio cassette and connected it with wires. He cut a plastic container to get the table fan.
Rockiel is innovative. He has been excelling in his class. Last year he did his grade four exams and passed with the best marks. Now he has been promoted to go to grade six instead of entering grade five.
